I don't think there is a right or wrong here. It just supports the obvious. It's about the money. That's all.
Money trumps all. It's pretty clear.
I wonder if we go back, say...over the last five years...did this phenomenon occur? I would guess no. But...I'm guessing it's the norm going forward.
So...clearly...99% of the players are here for the money...not for a facility...not for a coach...not for a city. There are always exceptions. But, as some predicted here, Saffold would leave if he got more money elsewhere...even if it was just "a couple million". Home team discount? Yeah...well...there aren't a lot of Tom Brady's out there.
