I had hoped for more out of him in 2018

I trust the coaches to watch the tape and decide whether he merits a roster spot. When I occasionally focused on him, he was pretty uninspiring in 2018, and he got beat on some big plays. But I am no DC or DB coach.

At best, he looked to me like a 4th CB. Competentish but you don't want to have to depend on him. I wonder though, if that is all you are getting, if you are better off taking a flyer on a rookie or other young player that might have more upside.
