I think pain is the issue until I hear TG gets a procedure...to clean up somethin.
TG may have no structural issues...but the pain is what made running uncomfortable.
TG said it happened in the 1st game of the season.iirc
Then, TG played pretty good all year until the last few games under such pain. Unless, they do an investigative scope to see if the scans missed somethin - which can happen sometimes. Barring a scoping / clean-up of meniscus....TG should be rested to go next year I would think. However, the fact that TG rested for nearly 5 weeks and it didn't get better.....
is alarming.
A RBs knee is his bread & butter obviously...and if it's early arthritis - that could be a bad situation tho continued rehab would help... the pain can be limiting to truly debilitating. That's my fear actually. I do not think the Rams saw something in the scans that needed a scoping done...which leads me to fear it's the beginning of early/chronic inflammation of the knee. That would be catastrophic and lead to a shortened career for TG. imo
...
This is exactly what I have dealt with. When I first joined my track team I had such pain in my knee it was keeping me awake at night. After an MRI I was diagnosed with a bone marrow edema which is basically a bruise in the marrow. It felt like hell.
I finally had to just shut it down for eight weeks.
Yeah it could be something like that or any number of other things.
We know it's not structural because they did an MRI.
In his case it seems to be something that can go in and out of severity.
