It's been discussed and it was discussed again after the Super Bowl.
Just look how Goff called plays.
Why don't the Rams run more hurry up? Why didn't they during the Super Bowl? They actually had success doing it.
The training wheels need to come off...period.
Hyperbole schmerbole.
And...just watch McVay...he has that darn chart in front of his face until right before the play.
Critique a Ram and people fall apart.
How much hurry up do the Rams run in comparison to other teams?
Unless you have a number, I am afraid you have not really said anything. It's just you with some subjective opinion about how much they do or don't do it/
The hyperbole does not have to do with whether or not McV talks to Goff (in the same way many coaches and coordinators talk to qbs, and in fact K.Shanahan was doing it before McV). No one disputes that he does it so trying to argue that yeah of course he does it! misses the point. The hyperbole is that that is some kind of drawback that limits Goff's development.
In prior discussions I posted quotes from McDaniels talking about how he does it with Brady. So---the idea that doing that means "training wheels" just strikes me as overkill.
