Cooks had 80 catches for 1,204 yards (15.1 avg) with 5 TDs.

Ridley had 64 catches for 821 yards (12.8 avg) with 10 TDs.

Perhaps the Rams would have been fine with Ridley instead of Cooks but considering that the Rams were making a run at the Super Bowl last season I'm OK with them going for the known commodity who was exactly what McVay was looking for. Going into the draft there was no way to know who might be available when the Rams picked and no way to know how they would fit in the Rams' offense.

Re: Peters. Yes, he played like crap when Talib was out. But in his defense, Wade was asking him to play press coverage during that stretch, which Peters apparently sucks at. Talib's return coincided with Peters playing a lot more off coverage where he could read the QB and that has way more to do with his improved play down the stretch than anything. (Although I do give Talib credit as well for stabilizing the back end of the D.)

If Fowler leaves and signs somewhere else the Rams will get a comp pick in return so that takes some of the sting out of that rental price. It could even be a 3rd rounder ...
