First I am big McVay Fan so let me get that out of the way.
1st. We can into the game with what looked like our standard offense. I am surprised that there were not some wrinkles to catch the opposition by surprise. I am also a little surprised that NE played us similar to Chicago and we were not prepared with a good counter.
2nd. I am disappointed that we did not make adjustments to to take advantage of how NE was defending us. I wish I could say I was surprised but I think one of McVay's weaker spots is switching things up and making in game adjustments. I tend to think this may happen because he is so focused on play calling and the difficulties of being focused on the hear and now while also trying to figure out what half time adjustments need to be made. I think this area is something that the coaching staff on offense needs to figure out how to master.
