I can see several sides to this issue and think it could go in many different directions.
No clear cut decision jumps out to me, but here’s my best guess.
Rams will keep Peters this year on a “prove it” basis. If he excels, then they’ll have to pay him in ‘20.
But if he struggles again in Wade’s man D, then it’s an easy decision. He’ll be a goner and the Rams have to eat the traded 2nd and 4th that they paid to acquire him.
Keeping MP makes it possible for Rams to focus on other pressing needs a bit more. Then again, drafting a CB early would make a ton of sense because Talib is probably gone in ‘20, himself.
Geez...
