Now the Rams system certainly is not built around a traditional #1 or #2 for that matter However, he is being paid as a #1

While I think its a stretch to think that he would have held on to the endzone throw in the 1st half in the SB.... he clearly should have caught that pass towards the end of the game... and of course the next play was the int.
Cooks did have 8 catches for around 120 yards in the SB, didn’t he?
And, as you say, those two targets were exceedingly difficult, to say the least.
Bottom line, Cooks is an effective weapon, a big part of the best trio in the league. He was the least of our O woes in that game.
