I like the overall plan. And you even had a preemptive strike argument! lol...I'm glad you took that in stride.
You're right I am going to have to say that Mack Wilson is unlikely. You're right in that Wade isn't picking the players but the type of GM Snead is and the way McVay has delegated the D to Wade, I don't see a Shane Ray situation happening. I'd look for ILB starting around the 4th. I can see this being the case. I really like Cam Smith in those middle rounds. I really think they missed on Josey Jewell last year
On IDL, that doesn't typically happen for Wade either but this year is supposedly historic for D'linemen so I think there's a much higher chance of that happening in the 1st. But as much as I like him, probably not much of a chance for Dexter Lawrence. I don't think Wade has ever done a pure NT and definitely not early. A possibility may be a Jerry Tillery type. What do you know about him? I touched on Tillery and Lawrence in my reply below. If Christian Wilkins gets anywhere near the Rams they should go get him IMO.
Besides I like your contingency plan of Bryon Murphy much better anyway. He'd be a great addition to the team and with the D's performance with Talib going down this year, it highlights how much they need more good, starting quality CB depth. Besides, they've got to get prepared for Talib and/or Peters' departure.
The other thing to keep in mind is Snead's tendencies. If they were targeting an edge defender, he wouldn't sit at #31 and force it. He never does. He'll either trade up or trade back to target a specific player(s) they have in mind. I agree, I would love a trade back TBH
On to the players...
Is McCoy only good in zone blocking or can he do power too? I know in year 1 Kromer was doing a combo of both. I don't know if they're still doing that or not. Zone only right now, Bradbury is a zone OC, Elgton Jenkins from Miss St could play in both,Micheal Jordan Ohio St is a power man, although with work could play zone and lastly Ross Pierschbacher Alabama, zone with some power mixed in if he gets stronger.
I can't seem to find much on Hollins. I looked for him after you mentioned him the other day. How does he compare to Chase Winovich who I love? Or Christian Miller? BTW most experts have Miller later than the 2nd/3rd right now. Hollins is really athletic, but lacks aggressiveness and I wonder about his football IQ, with Winovich, he's a High effort, smart aggressive kid with under-rated athletic ability. I love Winovich in the 2nd round.
CJ Conrad - TE - I just discovered him yesterday playing the drafting game. After researching him, I endorse this pick as my favorite late round TE. I think he can upgrade Higbee.
I don't know about the rest of the players but I think they go CB before round 7. At least I hope they do...the question is where?
