I'm watching AAF's San Antonio vs San Diego on my tv right now and at the same time watching AAF's Orlando vs Atlanta on my computer. I kind of ignored my pc for a while and was focusing on the game that's on the tv. A few minutes ago, I glanced at my pc and what do I see? Jeff Fisher up in the booth with a couple of the announcers, talking about the AAF players, the game, the fact that this is a good opportunity for them, about the Rams drafting Garrett Gilbert who is the Orlando QB, etc. Fisher seems relaxed and excited. And then across the bottom of the screen it says "Jeff Fisher, Head of Football Strategy-AAF". Oh, really??
So, I guess he's got a new gig, and it ain't coaching. He doesn't show up on the AAF Front Office page yet, but I have a feeling the position and his hiring is pretty new. Not sure exactly what the job entails but found an article on CBSSports about the AAF and it has a list of AAF People to Know.
Bill Polian, Head of Football/Co-founder: Along with Ebersol, Polian acts as one of the central components of the AAF braintrust. The former Indianapolis Colts GM is the primary gear that makes the wheels turn for the operation. His duties included creating the formula by which the AAF's teams allocate talent from college, NFL and CFL teams.
Additionally, former Titans and Rams coach Jeff Fisher is assisting in this process as a liaison between the coaches and the single entity's front office.[
