Why not? Why do you think that Brady just had his first post-season game without a TD since, when?
Because Wade fooled him a lot with disguised coverages.
And a third year qb is still too young to be anywhere near as good as a 19 year vet. But the 19 year vet struggled too.
As a rule young qbs do not do well in a superbowl. That includes Marino and Roethlisberger. Heck even Brady in superbowl 36 basically just threw 27 times for 145 yards, so they mostly just kept him safe.

All in their 3rd or 4th year did pretty good in their first SB.
I would not say it is a "rule" young Qbs do not well in a SB though it is not uncommon .
Sadly for the Rams and us fans Goff picked the worst time for probably his worst game since working with McVay.
