...that as Rams fans we almost expect to be on the losing end of one of those plays. Saints fans are not used to it and we aren't used to be the beneficiary of such a blatant missed call.
We all remember times over the last 50 years or so where one play, one penalty or non-called one cost the Rams the season. But logically we all know that one call does not make a game. If a team really deserved to win, they would have been in control enough to have not worried about a late missed or called penalty. Others have pointed out various opportunities missed by the Saints and Rams that would have led to an entirely different outcome but the one at the end when the game is on the line is always the most painful.
