I'm very happy the Rams are in the Superbowl, but I'm not happy with how they got there. I feel they played a great game in a tough environment and deserved to win and who knows what may have happened had the correct call been made. Stranger things have happened. Unfortunately it haunts me. I'm trying to put it behind me and move on but then I try to imagine how I would feel if the roles were reversed and it was the Rams who were on the short end of that terrible non-call. Gonna take me awhile I think.
I'm glad there others that feel this way. Rams chose to kick the FG and tie the game and try to hold the Saints on the following drive. Saints drove down and should have won. McVay and the Rams got bailed out by the refs and everything that happened after that was after the Saints were screwed out of a win.
It's nice that the Rams are in the SB but I can't honestly brag about it or act like they didn't get in without some blatant help from the refs. It's no way to win. I know it's the Patriots way but I've always thought the Rams were better than that.
Apparently you and the refs missed the blatant face mask on Goff on the previous drive that would have put us 1st and goal on the 2 yard line.... instead the non call made it 4th down and we had to settle for the FG, instead of three more shots at a TD while eating more clock.
The refs decided early in this game they were going to let them play, so I don't see how everyone just blows off the other non calls throughout that game most of which were on the Saints.
The other fouls that weren't called changed the dynamics of the ENTIRE game...
The Saints also had another opportunity to win the game in overtime, where they did get a PI call but still couldn't get it done.
Go ahead and mope about it...I'm gonna call it karma, as Waterfield likes to say
I can't believe I have to explain this to a Rams fan
