How about the MANY facts they're missing??
Let's take just one: what the heck was Payton doing throwing TWICE in that situation, when all he needed to do was run the ball, drain the clock, kick a FG and leave the Rams, who had no TOs, with maybe 40 seconds?????
This entire 'story' that the game came down to one play is absurd. They missed multiple egregious penalties on the Saints throughout the game and Payton let his arrogance get the best of him.
People keep asking how we would feel if roles were reversed. I'm fairly sure this board would be filled with posts like this asking what McVay was thinking. We'd be saying he had the chance to go to the Superbowl but suddenly starting channeling Mad Mike. In fact, when Payton was passing I was ecstatic! I told my wife, he has the chance go ahead and leave us with just seconds and he's blowing it...thank you very much Sean Payton.
