I saw a headline on an article by Andrew Breer on the Sports Illustrated website that says "After dramatic overtime wins, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are headed to their ninth (!) Super Bowl together, to face off against young Jared Goff and Sean McVay. But the talk today is all about an obvious, game-deciding blown call, and what the NFL must do to address an officiating crisis."
Is there really an officiating crisis cause this kind of stuff has been going on season after season. A blown call is not new news. Ok, I don't remember all the plays and all the details surrounding those plays but it seems to me that there's a badly blown call in practically every NFL game (both regular and post-game season) that would have affected the outcome of the game. Officials are human beings. That means they're not going to always get it right. They're going to blow calls and some teams are gonna benefit because of them and others aren't. Most of the time, it feels like the Rams are on the side that doesn't benefit. This time, they were on the side that benefitted. As long as there are PEOPLE playing and officiating and coaching the game, it's gonna happen. No way around it.
