listening to the Paul Allen (Vikings play by play and KFAN radio host) speaking about the Rams saints matchup:
Paraphrasing: "According to people closer to the Rams team then I am, they said Todd is not 100%, but then again, anyone that plays alot of snaps this late into the season isn't 100%. That being said, they said Gurley could carry the ball 30 times without any ill effects.
Whats changed is CJ Anderson's ability to run behind a zone blocking scheme, like he did in Denver."
Anyhow, how close were the people he talked to? i don't know. Does sound good for Gurley.
The key to this was always the zone blocking scheme.
In fact Anderson credits Alex Gibbs with being one of his mentors. Gibbs was still with Denver in 2013 when Anderson was there.
As many know that Gibbs is the guru of zone blocking, and has been credited with being behind the Terrell Davis running attack back in the 80s.
Anderson arrived with the Rams just ready to run in that scheme.
