I think we all expected more from his loaded D this year.
But there have been some signs of improvement lately.
So, I’m willing to give him these playoff games as the final exam. If our D plays with fire and is at least reasonably effective, then I’m okay with keeping Wade for next year.
But if they don’t play at least respectably, then I favor bringing in a new DC from among the fresh up and comers. Anyone that suits McVay would be fine by me.
In any case, I think that it seems obvious that major personnel changes amoung the D starters are coming. Like, 4-6 of them.
