the inability to execute quickly late in game, is the #2 problem with the Rams.
#1 - Rams defense in general although much improved
#2 - Inability to execute hurry up late in game when time is an element to get up quickly, get play off in seconds, when to use timeouts, when to get out of bounds, spike the ball, get out an win on game winning field goal with seconds left.. That kind of thing.
#99 - Running more with Gurley when he has the #2 most carries in the NFL in a game when the run is highly unsuccessful in a particular game, is #99 on priority list.
The lack of being able to execute the hurry-up in the 4th quarter and the haunting memories of JUST GOT IT OFF which caused the Rams the superbowl last year is a big issue!
It resurfaced somewhat on a smaller scale in the Bears game when the Rams burned a couple of minutes with like 5-8 minutes left in the game by piddling on offense down by two scores. In that case, you could say time was plentiful but the team was down by 2 scores.
