Rams personel gambles are glaring now.
Not addressing size when choosing receivers and corner backs, depth, experience and sharing the load at running back has been a problem.
Settling for unproven linebackers was a gamble.
Signing Suh and Peters instead of addressing existing deficiencies was a gamble that hasn’t paid off.
Using the franchise tag on Joyner was downright foolish after using the franchise on TJ only to watch him walk.
I agree on some, disagree on others.
Personnel decisions are inherently risky, so there is that. IMO, Rams have excelled in their moves overall.
Size is a non-issue at CB. Our WR’s are fine. Heck, they are among the best in the league! Another non-issue.
You make a great point on the LB’s, though.. Barron, for example, is KILLING us.
Suh has been a disappointment, no question. But it’s not as if he’s gonna be a salary cap drag for years and years. Peters has been misused by Wade, although the Talib injury kinda forced Wade’s hand there. Sigh...
Joyner’s play has made the FT look foolish in hindsight. But who saw THAT coming at the time? I sure didn’t, and I don’t recall any other posters doing so, either.
Rest assured that the Suh, Barron, and Joyner “mistakes” will be addressed next offseason. Lol.
