Yea Mack was a great pick a #5
Robinson was the most devastating run blocker I have ever seen in major college football. As a pro he has been terrible in every aspect of the game. I can't even attribute it to being raw in pass blocking because he has stunk up the joint in every aspect of the game.
Mack in hindsight should have gone much higher so should have Donald for that matter.
I think the way to evaluate good drafting is to look at the hit and the big hits. Snead hit a grand slam with Donald and Gurley and probably Goff. He has a bunch of other solid hits too, some who have left the team to sign big contracts and he has a few whiffs such as Robinson, Austin and Quick. Overall Snead has built the roster that has allow the coaching staff to build an elite team. He has done a really good job in the 3rd and 4th round. I suspect that Fisher and now McVay have much more input on the 1st and 2nd round picks which are studied thoroughly. I also think Snead has started valuing intelligence over pure athleticism which has helped his hit rate in rounds 3 & 4. Snead has learned a lot and is now as good as it gets in the NFL.
