Regarding it was more the Rams O blowing it than some sort of return of the Bear D of 85.
I said the same thing in a post the following day. Yes, their D played well, but we could have still hung another 25 points on them if we'd played like we did in other games.
Yeah, our O-line had their worst day which translated to Goff's epic stat line....but more then anything we just didn't do the little things well at all in this game and some flukey stuff with the refs were what really doomed us.
Just watched a little of the second half...starts off with penalty on kick off as the new kid who just got activated John Kelly get called for holding after he tackles his guy, which led to bad run by Gurley where Woods doesn't block his guy which leads to a safety where Sully and Havs just look lost as a jail break happens...Goff hit in the head on the play but of course no flag...then the Bears took the good field position after the safety and has their only second good drive of the game and get the TD (tricky dick) to the Olineman.
Finally, Rams get a nice break on the JJ pick..... ball on the Bears 26 and Goff locks on to Reynolds and gives it right back...no excuse, but good lord Goff gets clubbed right in the face and once again the refs turn a blind eye..... I turned it off after that
