You have your viewpoint, which can’t be disproven.
I see it differently, from my viewpoint which also can’t be disproven.
Eventually, we may have enough data to do so. It won’t be this season.
You can't just throw out the Detroit game and form a false pattern.
Neglect the Detroit game, where he had the exact same issues, and you end up with the wrong picture.
Actually if you add up his 6 total subpar games from 2017-2018 cold is a factor in only 2 of them
Using qb rating I am counting only games of below 80
2017
1. Seattle at Rams, qb rating 48.9
2. Arz at Rams, qb rating 75.8
3. Rams at Minn, qb rating 79.2
TDs v. Ints in those games: 1 v. 3
2018
1. at Den, qb rating 58.8
2. at Det, qb rating 68.6
3. at Chi, qb rating 19.1
TDs v. Ints in those games: 1 v 6
The 2018 games all have in common what I say they do.
Of all 6 games combined cold is a factor in only 2 of them.
I think the whole "cold game" thing ... it's a factor probably but that's just 2 games out of 6.

My viewpoint is that Goff has a real problem in the cold. The ball is different in the cold, hard as a rock and much more slippery. Small freezing hands is a problem he has to deal with. And the fact that he is never gonna spend time practicing to handle this problem means it's unlikely to go away anytime soon. Now maybe if he played in Cleveland he would get better at it, kind of like Brian Sipe. But there is no need for Goff to do that when he is playing almost all his games outside of cold conditions.
We have seen him play in 2 games this year in freezing temps. Thats all the data we have of him in freezing conditions (under 32 degrees). He was bad in both games. I think adding other games outside of those conditions to prove that its not cold is a bad analysis.
When you design something to work in freezing temps, you must test it and pass it in freezing temps. You will never get anything certified otherwise.
So I say again, let him show us he can play a decent game in freezing temps. Until then, he hasn't passed the test.
