The Rams barely ran the ball and kept using play action which the Bears didn't fall for at all becuase the Rams were not running the ball

In the first couple of drives, before there was a pattern establishing the Rams were not running the ball, the OL and Goff were performing badly.
IMO, McVay's play calling was a reaction to that.
As for the jet sweep not working, the announcers mentioned why the Bears didn't fall for it. They just stayed in their nickle look because they have an excellent D with the personnel to handle whatever the Rams were trying to throw at them. The purpose of jet sweep is to expose what the D is playing for the QB to know where the mismatch is. If Chicago is just gonna stay in their base defense, jet sweeping is just pointless motion.
