Expectations are a lot higher now

It is funny how your perspective can change and with it your expectations.

We had 15 years of futility where we got excited in the seasons we reach mediocrity. Many of us were tortured by a terrible front office and coaching that was even worse. When Fisher/Snead took over the roster had zero talent except maybe for Jim L. and Quinn. While I have a hard time crediting Fisher the combination of Snead and Fisher did restore talent to the roster. The biggest problem we had was coaching which was just terrible with undisciplined penalty plagued offensive and defensive units. Fisher also let the game pass him by and never put in place an offense that was on par with the reality of today's game. Fisher did help us reach mediocrity a few seasons but when you get excited about that being almost okay.

McVay has changed everything and given all of us a reason to hope for big things. The Rams have been one of the best teams in the league and have a roster full of talent. It is like we have come into the Promised Land and hope abounds. The only problem is that there are still giants that need to be conquered and we have stumbled a few times. Our expectations are sky high after years of walking in the wilderness. So lets pray that our boys can take down those giants and go all the way. McVay is our Joshua and just like Joshua he needs to grow into the role of leading this team to conquer the land which is ours.

We are built to go for it all this year and if we lose then we can put on those rose colored glasses but now anything short of the Super Bowl will be a disappointment.
