Yes, we don't know what would have happened if he would try running it 3 downs in row instead of just running it once and getting stuffed, but it was clear the Bears were dominating the run game with guys flying everywhere.
I go back to the 9 passes in a row being the best drive in the first half and getting the field goal and only getting stopped after a run used a down. Basically you get 3 shots to hit a pass instead of 2 because you get stuffed once with a run.
It is easier to go 1-3 than 1-2 having conceded one down when you know the Bears are all over the run with little chance of success.
21 of the 29 yards were in 2 carries so basically it was 1 yard per carry on the other 9.
