Unless I'm missing something just about any way you slice it week 17 the Rams should have a chance to either take over or hold on to home field advantage. The only way that is not the case is if say the Saints lose to Pittsburgh but then also lose to Carolina in week 17 while the Rams are warming up for the 49ers game. Highly unlikely. If Saints and rams both win their next two then they're both 13-2 and rams are scoreboard watching during warmups as they play Carolina. Anyway, we are not going to see a game where 19 of 22 starters sit.
