That is absurd, of course, but so is the notion this article puts forth.
In fact, I suspect that if the Rams make it to the Superbowl, win or lose, Kroenke will tear up the current contract and make McVay the highest paid NFL HC on at least a 5 year deal.
The idea that a young, hip HC, with a young, hip, NFL team with THREE MVP candidates on it, with what will become the Taj Mahal of NFL Stadiums a year or so away, and market and media that adores him in LA, and living in the place where young, hip people want to live.....is going to be "traded" away or would break his contract and go is like my asteroid story. Is it 100% impossible? No. Is it 99.9% impossible? Yes.
And to Green Bay of all places? Why? Aaron Rodgers is clearly on the downside of his career and it has also become clear that he is a royal pain in the arse. High maintenance to say the least. And to a place with Arctic weather 4 or 5 months a year? And is anything but young and hip?
I don't know of a stronger word than absurd or I'd use it. I suspect the writer of this story must be a former SETI researcher.
