I think playing in the cold can be somewhat overblown at times but it can't be dismissed. 31 degrees and dry in Chicago in my opinion is not a factor. More than 80% of the Rams players have played many cold weather games in the NFL and college. When the San Diego Chargers played at Cincinnati in -30 windchill or whatever in the 1981 playoffs? THAT'S a factor.

I think heat can also be a similar factor. I still remember going to the Rams game at Arizona in 1996 at Sundevil Stadium and it was well above 100+ that day. The Rams literally wilted on the field late in the game. During TV timeouts the Rams were on a knee or even laying on the ground while the Cardinals just stood around. Rams blew a 14-point lead and lost in OT.
