Lets be frank. I agree that a lot of pieces were in place for McVay and company. I have no problem with that part, and I've said it many times before in multiple venues. But until you admit that Fisher was indeed the major link to the fail in the organization then you're only half right on your assessment.

When he said it was not a rebuild the facts bore him out. That's just empirical.

When he said it was an organizational failure, he apparently silently recanted on that, because he did keep Snead and that has been shown to be a wise decision, especially since Snead was one of the reasons they had talent on hand in the first place. So that comment did not hold up. He never acted on it and that was the smart decision.

What I said that started this discussion is a simple, limited, specific thing. I said that Cowherd is wrong if he believes hiring a McVay AUTOTMATICALLY means an overnight turnaround. This ignores the fact that overnight turnarounds require BOTH a good coaching hire AND a pool of top talent on hand.

The way I heard Cowherd he does not seem to get it requires both things.
