On that late hit out of bounds you could see him tracking Donald the entire way, planning the late hit OOB. Then he took a shot at another Rams on the sidelines. He deliberately wanted the Rams to react and when the Ref threw the flag on both him and Donald he started clapping and celebrating.
I see a problem with guys intentionally doing that. What if Britt seriously hurt Donald with that late hit in the back? The league needs to discourage that. The league should be protecting players better than that.
Now, I don't condone Donald going over to Britt after the game with his helmet on, that was dumb. But I do think the league needs to do a better job than to simply throw a flag on that flagrant attempt to cheap shot Donald.
I'm all in favor of fisticuffs under these circumstances. Plays can be reviewed and a determination made about a players actions on the field. It doesn't have to interrupt the game. A replay official can buzz the referee and inform him that a player is ejected effective immediately. Maybe a few fistfights and some bloody noses and blood eyes would drive home the point.
