guy is a punk. not sure why you admire his trash talk. he is an immature punk who is playing terribly.
go rams.
He was responding to a question about a head coach (who doesn't lace them up) going out of his way to say more than he needs to about Peters as a ball player.
Is that trash talking? He is saying he will get another chance. He's not a 42 year old T Brady that would say - we will get them next time. Different culture. Same thing.
I love his never making excuses for himself. He doesn't blame injuries. Doesn't blame coaches or players. He believes he is great (and he is) and should be better. There is clearly something wrong with him. This is an outlier in every way for Peters in the NFL and college.
In regards to Payton. He shouldn't single people out. He needs to be above poking. But he's not exactly a class act. This is a coach that goes up to opposing players who get burned on the sidelines and emphatically claps in the faces.
This is a guy who got suspended for a year for orchestrating a team cover up ( created organized lies )for bounty gate.
This is a guy who turned off team cameras over 30 times (alleged number) in three years so that he can steal pain pills then fired the whistle blowers.
This guy has been called out by his own players for showing up to work high or drunk.
This is a guy who was accused of doing Molly and cheating on his wife in West Virginia.
He's no saint. He's been called the most hated coach in the NFL.
If Payton doesn't go out of his way to make an opposing player look bad in the media for no reason Peters would not have responded. Coaches should conduct themselves as a leader. They should avoid this stuff.
