How many years do we expect to run it? Do we keep the 3-4 when Phillips is no longer the d coach?
If the near future sees a transition back to a 4/3, I don't think it will be that big a deal.
This is a one-gap attacking 3/4. That means the transition to a one-gap attacking 4/3 is just not that big a leap.
The MIKE LB becomes the MLB, the MO LB moves to the weak side, the strong side LB becomes a DE. They're still all 1-gap attackers, and Donald is still at 3-tech DT.
Voila. Easy as pie.
