But of course, salary cap makes a big difference, too. I have no idea if they could take on another big salary when looking down the road they still may resign Peters and of course will give Goff a record breaking contract in 2 or 3 years.

My guess is that they do NOT have the ability to trade that 1st and take on a big salary. But who knows. They have admitted that they were definitely in the Mack race and tried to acquire him. So maybe there is a way to make it work.

The Mack, though, was supposed to be a 1-year. They would play him for 2018, then trade him.

The numbers look like they say no, they can't handle THREE elite contracts down the line. The fact that Mack was supposed to be a 1-year underscores that.
