They're "up" for this game. I don't think they have what it takes to be "up" for two games in a row on a short week.
Edit: And it's even better if they end up losing. It's crushing to get yourself mentally amped up, to physically lay it all out, to think you've got it... and then have it snatched from you at the last moment.
