Safety sees pass and runs 20 yards and delivers a blow to the helmet with the intention of delivering a helmet to helmet hit. There was no shoulder to helmet at all. It was all plastic to plastic.
Cooks.........After securing catch, had every intention to continue up the sidelines to the open field, but as he turned upfield he saw a "blur" and basically curled up for the blow he knew was coming.
The rule is helmet to helmet on a defenseless player.......This was a textbook video to show for explanation of the rule, and why it exists for player safety.
The REF's blew this one............PERIOD!
