Since we get a weekly update of Cooks vs. Watkins, I thought I would start a game by game look at our TEs, players who somehow get less attention or critique than a guy who isn't with the Rams anymore. Now, in all fairness and for total disclosure, this does not account for blocking, something that is important for a TE, especially when you have a Gurley.
Through 5 games
Higbee Targets - 9 Receptions - 5 Yards - 64 TDs - 0
Everett Targets - 8 Receptions - 6 Yards - 57 TDs - 0
Seasonalized
Higbee Targets - 29 Receptions - 16 Yards - 205 TDs - 0
Everett Targets - 26 Receptions - 19 Yards - 182 TDs - 0
Per game average
Combined Targets - 3.4 Receptions - 2.2 Yards - 24.2 TDs - 0
As you see per game average, remember, that's for 2 players, not one.
That's how many points we're scoring per game. Ranked 3rd in the league.
We have an offense that can apparently put up points almost at will and that's with bad kickers since our starter has been injured.
No matter the quality of our TEs, it's not hurting us. Right?
