There's been a lot of down-talking our TEs around here recently, and a lot of "well, at least he's an okay blocker" opinions on Higbee. However, I think Higbee will emerge this season as a solid versitile receiving/blocking Tight End. And that's a pretty key piece to have with an offense featuring Todd Gurley. When Higbee is in the defense has to be thinking run; with Everett... likely as not it's a pass.
Hope we'll see some two TE sets with Higbee and either Everett or Mundt down the road. (Forgive me if they've used 'em already and it slipped my notice.) Seems to me the defense would have to anticipate run, but any of the Rams' TEs are good passing targets, and should be better run blockers than the WRs.
