The Rams don't have an outside rush.
Is that a preferable situation?
It is true that according to these numbers, Suh and Donald were far more effective than many have been saying. OKay fair enough.
If so that's good.
They still need someone to step up on the outside. The defense has strengths but I am not sure yet HOW strong a defense it is. Rivers still threw for 60% and 2 TDs. They were better than 50% on third down (last year the top ranked offense on 3rd down was 45%...the best defense on 3rd down allowed 28%, and the worst allowed 48%). Today the Rams allowed 6.8 yards per play. Last year the best D allowed 4 yards per play and the worst allowed 7 yards a play. So this was not like last year's Seattle game.
