It’s no secret that the Los Angeles Rams have one of the best rosters in the NFL, if not the very best. The defense is littered with Pro Bowlers, the offense features Todd Gurley and the special teams unit – when healthy – is better than just about any in the league today.

So it should come as no surprise that the Rams would be well-represented on Pro Football Focus’ Team of the Week for the second time this season. In Week 1, four of the Rams’ five starters on the offensive line made PFF’s Team of the Week, and on Sunday, three more players from L.A. made the squad.

Brandin Cooks, Aqib Talib and Aaron Donald were named to the team this time around, ranking among the best players at their respective positions.

Cooks had an overall grade of 87.3, which ranked third among wide receivers (behind Will Fuller and Sammy Watkins). Here’s what PFF had to say about his performance, which included seven catches for 159 yards.

Cooks might not have found the end zone but he still had a huge day. He led all wide receivers with an average of 4.68 yards per route run on the afternoon, picking up 159 yards from 34 routes run. From the seven catchable passes thrown his way, he caught every single one.

Donald was the top-graded interior defensive lineman at 92.3 overall, hitting Sam Bradford once and hurrying him three times. He had four tackles, all of which went for run stops, but he’s still seeking that elusive first sack of 2018.

And finally, Talib absolutely shut down the Cardinals’ receivers on the right side of the field. Here’s what PFF said about his performance and overall grade of 87.9 – second among all cornerbacks in Week 2.

Talib has been everything the Rams expected and more so far, and didn’t allow a single reception against the Cardinals. Of the three passes thrown into his coverage, Talib broke up two on his own, and like Smith allowed a passer rating of 39.6 on his targeted passes.

It’s easy to see why there’s so much hype surrounding the Rams this season, given how much talent there is across the roster. Don’t be surprised to see at least one player featured on PFF’s Team of the Week every time they play.
