There is no way this keeps happening if he were making players more accountable assuming he is coaching them properly on fundamentals.
I mentioned this last week in the game forum when someone complained about the penalties.
Last year we led the league in ST penalties. I know that looks and sounds bad but maybe our #1 ranking can be explained by coach Bones coaching them to be aggressive.
Last year we were pretty highly ranked in all ST categories including KR and PR. Maybe it's not Cooper and JoJo who deserve the bulk of the credit. When you can just plug the next man in and they all do well, that points to coaching.
And when you're top 5 in all ST categories across the board, you know that the players are being coached properly on fundamentals.
What if the players are instructed to block aggressively to the legal limit and that's why the return teams do so well?
I don't know if that explains it, but I think we should take the incredible amount of good with the occasional bad.
