But most people pick Brady as the greatest player ever because of the superbowls and the reality is many top tier QBs would have won the same superbowls with that coaching staff in tack.


Rodgers is the greatest player in NFL history. He has elevated so many bad teams to the playoffs and that is more significant accomplishment given his circumstances. He did it again last night. He returns to the game and the Packers was a totally different team. Last year when Rodgers was out, that Packer team was awful. When Brady goes out they were 13-7, in that one season he got injured in first week and last year.

So having a top tier QB is important. (Top 15 or maybe top 10) but there is so much more that is needed to win superbowls as you see with Rodgers, Marino, and how about Elway.

He couldn't win one for years and won 2 when he was on his last leg.

Another great example was Manning. Probably a top 5 QB of all time, as least a top 10, and one of his superbowls was when he wasn't very good any more at the end of his career.
