I have nothing invested in which team is the most popular. However, I've lived in So Cal all my life and believe Hernandez is correct about the Latino culture. Once they adopt a team-be it soccer, football, baseball, etc-they stick with that team no matter if they are good, bad, or indifferent. I also think its part of the strong male culture that is identified with both male and female Raider fans-which has led to some unpleasant confrontations with fans of opposing teams. Its also an inherited following with children of children being followers. And with the continued growth of the Latino population in So Cal its easily seen how the Raiders are extremely popular here and even more popular than the Rams. Check out the Burbank airport on Sundays during the football season. In any event since I have nothing invested in which team is the most popular it doesn't bother me. Ram fan -always have been.
Hope you didn't think I was calling you out as a Raider fan, we all know you aren't....
Doubt you're gonna find many Rams fans in a Burbank airport on Sundays during the season these days,.,,just sayin.
Just from what I've seen in the last year, especially since the Rams good year, is about 5 to 1 Rams gear over any other team gear people are wearing in public theses days around my area.
