It seems like the " bigger issue" raised by jemach was simply "Not playing starters in preseason is a bad idea IMO..". And its not a good idea to get the "rust off" in the first initial regular season game. However, no one disputes that. Not McVay, not Gruden, not Zn, not me, not you, etc. Sooooo I took it to mean the argument was over THIS game -one in which Zn points out was a very unusual circumstance in that both teams play each other shortly when it counts.
