(1) No one mentioned 3 consecutive 500 point seasons.
(2) This is a verified one. There are 4 special teams positions assigned to the pro bowl team. Last year was the first time all 4 came from the same team: Zuerlein, Hekker, McQuaide, Cooper.
(3) Donald first DT in league history to be a first-team all pro in 3 of his first 4 seasons. Only 2 other DTs were in the pro bowl each of their first 4 seasons (so along with Donald that's Greene and Olsen). But of those 3 only AD was also a first-team all pro 3 times.
(4) If you look at the unofficial list of all time sack leaders, which includes all players with 100 or more sacks, 7 of them were Rams at one point or another, including 3 of the top 5 (The list is here: [
mobile.twitter.com] ).
They are:
- Jones, 3rd (173.5)
- Greene, 4th (160)
- JY, 5th (150.5)
- Leslie O’Neal, 19th (132.5)
- Bacon, 21st (130)
- Carter, 43rd (104.5)
- Dryer, 46th (103)
I just bet no one else has 7 total but I didn't check. I KNOW no one else has 3 in the top 5. In fact the Rams are the only team with 3 in the top 10. 2 other teams have 2 in the top 10: Vikes (Doleman, Page) and Giants (Taylor, Strahan). If you make it top 12, Vikes have 3 (add Randle to Doleman and Page),
The next 3 are hunches I can't (or just didn't) verify. Whether or not they are actual records, they are very notable achievements either way.(5) Most UDFAs starting on a superbowl winning team with 9. 3 are on special teams. I mean someone who enters the league as a UDFA whether that was originally with the Rams or not. They are: Jenkins, Fletcher, Jones, Farr, Gruttadauria, Warner, Wilkins, Tuten (the forgotten punter), and Horne (tied for 1st in TDs as KR that year).
(6) Related to that, I bet it's hard to find another team that acquired 3 top qbs within 3 years (including a hall of famer) and did not draft any of them: Warner (98), Green (99), and Bulger (2000). Interesting to remember that in an era when the Rams had to trade up to pick 1 to get a qb.
76) I didn't check to see how unique this is or if it's an official record, BUT, there is at least one Ram lineman in the pro bowl every single season from 1967 until 1990. In fact the Rams 68 line had 4 pro bowlers, as did the 78 line and the 85 line. That’s 12 different pro-bowl lineman across 24 consecutive years.
