Understand what you're saying, Florida.
However, just review the losses or wins you mention.
The score differentials are within a range
This exhibition loss in Baltimore reflected too many things that went awry.
Just look at the shark eyes of Sean McVay throughout the game, and know that he was mortified by their showing. He'll dismiss, and we'll dismiss the worthiness of a "meaningless" game.
But this McVay guy?
The guy with the rote memory
The guy that will remember every last morsel of things that went wrong?
Can't imagine he just let that all go.
And while it may be meaningless to y'all, the truth is there's about two dozen guys who have played this game from the time they could walk to now.
Their chances of even making a practice squad are perilously reduced with showings like this.
So, the game itself may not make or break their opportunities, but added to their practices?
Not so great for their futures as pros.
Granted the number of viewers that even knew about the game was probably low. For those that looked forward with some anticipation about seeing the second and third unit perform with some dignity, the game was appallingly bad.
Makes me wonder about the depth at defensive line
And btw, no pass for Aaron Kromer. I did not see a well groomed lot, and they were worse as things progressed.
Sure, I'll toss what I saw all out. Put in the recycling bin, and start fresh on Saturday
Hard to imagine that at a preseason home opener of near 4 TD loss would be at hand.
And yet, a double digit loss would bring attention from me. And I think from an owner with 4 billion reasons to not want that sort "entertainment" value as lead in to 2018.
BTW, the upcoming match with our local Raiders fan in mass attendance may be a messy affair already.
There's a built in cringe factor in the stands; Not sure what to make of it, but I think I'll pass on bringing the wife to this one. Know what I mean?
