"Two teams had no interest in paying Cooks huge money and the Rams paid him before Donald. Cooks better improve his escape from press and as a runner or else he will disappoint a 3rd team."
When has Cooks ever
disappointed a team? (?)
In terms of mixing up the different contract issues, VB and Rich Hammond commented on that and I agree with them:

What do you think is going through Aaron Donald’s head right now?
Vincent Bonsignore@DailyNewsVinny
That this signing has no negative impact on his situation.
Raul Vargas@LakerPZ
Cooks gets a five year deal and he hasn’t played a down for them.
I'm sure Aaron Donald is really happy with the Rams right now
Vincent Bonsignore@DailyNewsVinny
It’s not how this works. The situations are unto themselves on many level
The timing of signings is in no way indicative of the simultaneous nature in which negotiations take place. If you really think #Rams told AD to wait his turn I’m not sure what to tell you.
Brandon Kiley@BKSportsTalk
Oh, c’mon. It has to be infuriating to watch the team prioritize signing newcomers to contract extensions before they get to you.
Vincent Bonsignore@DailyNewsVinny
You’re making a mistake if you think club prioritized Cooks over Donald to the point of signing Cooks means not signing Donald. That’s a silly line of thinking
Rich Hammond@Rich_Hammond
I have to admit I'm confused why people choose to conflate Brandin Cooks and Aaron Donald contract issues. They're different. Negotiations happen at different paces. Some are more complicated than others. It's not a matter of prioritizing one over the other.
