They have only demonstrated an ability to lock up the median guys. Top players have either left, or are at risk to leave now. I get that there's a plan, and I have to think Donald for example will get done. But now you can throw Cooks on that particular fire, since I agree they have to get him done having given up a round one pick to get him. And there are plenty of other concerns down the line as well.
History has demonstrated that Kevin Demoff is a master of the cap for a losing team. But can he handle a winning team? That remains to be seen tbh. So I wouldn't be too quick to be all smug about how there's a plan. All teams have a plan. Many just don't work out. Not being negative here, either, just pointing out that their plan hasn't resulted in actual signings of elite players as of yet.
Hopefully that changes soon.
