Not even the great Mike Marty with Faulk, Bruce, and Holt had a QB that had that kind of production.
Well, that's only a 2+ year span and Faulk and Bruce weren't exactly at the peak of their careers or health.
It's hard not to credit McVay considering the stark contrast between Goff's '16 and '17. Goff did a commendable job but it was McVay that made it all possible. I'd certainly take McVay over Goff if I had to make a choice. I have much more confidence in McVay getting a QB to produce than I do in Goff being the reason an offense works.
