Guaranteed contracts is a huge leap, just as was FA. And while FA at least offered a benefit to NFL teams because they could sign some players away from other teams, guaranteed contracts offers nothing for the team....only for the player.
Further, everything that keeps coming out of the NFLPA sounds like they have a laundry list of things they want. But what are they willing to give up to get it?
Guaranteed contracts aren't going to happen. Negotiated guaranteed money is already a way of life in the NFL.
A strike is fairly well inevitable. And I suspect the owners know it and are already preparing for it.
