And it seems to me it's a deflection around the central question: how often do star players demand to be traded and aren't?
Whether it's counter productive or whether all of the other issues you pointed to that would make a trade difficult are actually real obstacles, if AD plays the trade demand card, he's getting traded.
You said earlier let history be the guide. If there are no examples, or very few examples, in history where a star player demanded to be traded and it didn't happen, why would we have a different result here?
